Moms and More
Thank you to Avondale Baptist Church of hosting our 4th Annual Moms More Event. This event was created as a connection point to the community while honoring the moms/caregivers and providing some much needed resources. Over 450 people enjoyed the resource fair, hand-painted Mom gift bags, Mother’s Day crafts for all the kids as well Krispy Kreme donuts and other refreshments, raffle prizes and many other giveaways. The resources included Dress for Success, the Undie Chest, FORGE Youth Mentoring, Catholic Charities, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Child Family Resource and Avondale Resource Center with car seat inspections

Once Upon a Time Senior Prom
AZCI once again partnered with Litchfield Kiwanis to host the 2nd Annual prom with senior citizens living in our local communities. It was a special time for all. We had many Kiwanis Key club volunteers as well as students from West Valley Christian School to serve and host the seniors. There was dancing, refreshments, pictures and favor bags for each guest to take home.
Everyone had a lovely time and we already have the 3rd annual on the calendar for next year.
Sleep in Heavenly Builds/Deliveries
The 2nd quarter of the year was just as busy for our SHP build/delivery hub in addition to our normal monthly deliveries we hosted a few events and engaged some new teams to the process. First, our team hosted a SHP demonstration at JP Morgan Chase field office in Tempe. This engaged the employees from the beginning build process to the end where the bed is being delivered to the family. We also, hosted an Eagle Scout build project with Grant . He brought a team of boy scout families to work with the Joe’s to build 40 beds and they delivered 12. We are on pace to deliver approx.400 beds to kids in our local area before the end of the year.
2nd Annual AZCI Golf Tournament
The 2nd Annual Golf Tournament was sponsored by Pro Con and we raised over $6,000 to support the mission we have at AZCI of providing resources to our community. It was a fun day at the golf course. We had many sponsors from holes to raffle prizes. Thanks to all who attended.
